This is a way to keep our family and friends up to date on our Journey and mission work in Kenya. We did numerous postings during our trip which can be viewed under the March and April postings.
Here is a picture album. This will explain everything.Yesterday we had the opportunity to go on two field trips with the younger children. Each of us boys had two buddies that we looked out for on the field trips. We went to see baby elephants that were orphaned and being cared for until the age of three when they will be released into the wild. The second field trip was kind of a zoo/safari walk. We were exhausted and struggled with the temperature change. It was nearly 90. The native people are much more used to this weather and it was not unusual to see the Kenyans with sweaters and stocking caps. The streets were busy and the driving is very "unstructured". Joe has made a lot of new friends. In fact, the kids were asking about Joe this morning when we came down to the computer lab. They couldn't wait to play with him after their chores. The staff here is so kind. Everyone is really friendly. We are having some jet lag. Three of us feel asleep at dinner last evening. The Kenyans have been praying for rain. One of the monkeys we saw at the safari park is said to predict rain in that they won't leave the tree tops. Yesterday they were in the tree tops when we were there and last evening we had rain. Imagine that.
